Various Co-Curricular Activities has been introduced in order
to develop both the physical and mental abilities and to nurture
and foster talent.
Yoga
Yoga is a vast collection of spiritual techniques and practices,
all aimed at integrating mind, body and spirit and achieving a
state of enlightenment or oneness with the universe. It provides
a holistic approach to developing the physical and mental health
of the child. Acharya Aravind instructs the children in the
fabled techniques of Yoga.
Kalari
Aasan Thankarajan teaches this ancient martial art of kerala
with instills discipline, self control and enhances physical
prow ness. The practice of Kalaripayattu is done in an
atmosphere of sanctity and piety which help build the children's
courage and confidence.
Karate
Shihan Vinod Kumar V V, helps train the children in the art of
self defense without weapons. Karate helps to equip the citizen
of future with great inner strength and patience.
Roller Skating
Roller Skating provides a complete aerobic workout, involving
all of the body's muscles, especially those of the heart. It is
equivalent to jogging in terms of health benefits-caloric
consumption, reduction of body fat and leg-strength development.
Zooming around the grounds, the children learn this balancing
act from their instructor, Mr. Peroorkada Suthan.
Carnatic Music
This form of art is valued for its effectiveness in building a
positive mental attitude.
The mornings are enlivened with the strains of the Indian Octave
as the young ones learn their first notes from Fr.Peter.
Western Music
Ably instructed by Mr. Thomas Kurisinkal, the children learn how
to master the beats of the drum, the notes of the piano and the
aero lean rhythm of the guitar, thus adding an international
touch to their character.
Dance
Dancing is an exercise providing a complete synchronization of
the mind and the body, to the rhythm set by melodious music.
Mrs.Jaimol Mathew is teaching the girls Thiruvathira and the
boys a folk dance, to prepare them for the coming festival,
Onam.
News Analysis
The daily news round up; read aloud each morning by the children
makes them aware of the current events in International,
National, State and Sports Spheres.
French
To make things easier for children to explore new vistas in
future, French is being taught in all classes. "Le gataeu est
trés bein" was the response of the little ones to the cake baked
by the French teacher Mrs.Sheeba on the occasion of the French
National Day-July 14th.The children have already learn to
appreciate (in) french.
Basket Ball
This exciting game encourage versatility in dialogue delivery,
gait and actions. It improves the overall finesse of an
individual. Mrs. Rebecca George trains the children for their
upcoming presentation.
Aerobics
Ms.Shabnam Lawrence helps the children discover the fun way to
combine exercise and dance into a wholesome activity. Aerobic
helps boost energy levels to a new high.
Swimming
Mr. Vinod teaches the students the basics of swimming.
